Rayo Vallecano face a tough fixture in La Liga as they take on high-flying Atletico Madrid at the Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas.

The hosts have a huge absentee list going into the clash, which will make facing Atletico – who are second in the Spanish top tier on goal difference only – even harder.

Jose Carlos, Alejandro Galvez and Albert Perea are all out due to injury, whilst Raul Baena and Adrian are suspended for the tie.

Anaitz Arbilla and Seba Fernandez are also doubtful for the game with fitness concerns and Rodri has left the club this week to join Belgian side AS Eupen.

Lass Bangoura and Tito are expected to be rushed back to the starting XI as a result, despite the pair only returning to training on Thursday themselves.

It’s a different story for Atleti however, who only have Mario Suarez as a confirmed absentee although head coach Diego Simeone may not risk Tiago, who is also struggling.

David Villa is expected to return for the visitors meanwhile who need three points to keep up with FC Barcelona and city rivals Real Madrid.

By drawing at home to Sevilla in their last league match Simeone’s men cannot afford to do anything less than win this match.
