This is a big time match up between two of the league’s best clubs. Arsenal came into the weekend in first place, though they enter Monday in third with 35 points.  Chelsea is behind them in fifth with 33 points though they were higher at the start of the weekend.

If Arsenal wins, it will move them to the top of the table. If Chelsea wins, they’ll pull into second. They’d have 36 points like Liverpool, but they’d be edged out on goal differential.

“We know how important it is for us. It’s a chance to overtake them in the table and we know how important that is for the fans,” Chelsea striker Fernando Torres said on chelseafc.com. ”We’re playing Arsenal, and it’s a huge game for both sets of fans.

“We’ve beaten them once this season in the Capital One Cup at the Emirates, so we know what we need to do to win there. We just have to ensure we prepare for the game the best we can, and I’m sure we can go and do it.”
